INDIANAPOLIS -- Twenty divers will represent the United States at the Junior Pan American Championships in Calgary, Alberta, from September 10-13.
Among the team members are nine divers who won medals at the 2007 Junior Pan American Championships in Puerto Rico: Sarah Bacon (Indianapolis, Ind.), David Bonuchi (Columbia, Mo.), Michelle Cabassol (Montgomery, Texas), Kassidy Cook (The Woodlands, Texas), Andrew Cramer (Indianapolis, Ind.), Lillian Hinrichs (Lincoln, Neb.), Steele Johnson (Carmel, Ind.), Wallace Layland (Orlando, Fla.), and Annika Lenz (Altadena, Calif.).
Competition will be conducted in three events - 1-meter, 3-meter and platform - in four age groups for both boys and girls. The team was selected based on results at the Speedo Junior National Championships in Moultrie, Ga., where 300 divers competed for 24 junior national titles in early August.
