U.S. wins bronze medals in team competition at World University Games

David Colturi and Sean Moore won a bronze medal in men’s 10-meter synchro at the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.
BELGRADE, Serbia – The U.S. men’s and women’s diving teams each earned bronze medals in the overall team competitions as the World University Games came to a close. The two team medals gave the U.S. diving team a total of six medals at the World University Games.
The U.S. also won bronze medals in women’s 3-meter synchro (Abby Johnston and Brittney Feldman), women’s 1-meter (Ashley Karnes), men’s 3-meter synchro (Kelly Marx and Dan Mazzaferro) and men’s 10-meter synchro (David Colturi and Sean Moore).
The team standings are determined by adding the top two scores from each country in each preliminary event. Mexico won the overall women’s team gold, with China taking silver. On the men’s side, China led the field and Russia earned the silver.
Other U.S. team members included Kara Cook, Dwight Dumais, Audra Egenolf and Amy Korthauer. The coaches were Chris Bergere and Caiming Xie.
